Ogèdí

Ogèdí — Igbo for “there is time”

There is time to grow what you have started.

Short-term loans for Nigerian business owners and students, from ₦10,000 up to ₦5,000,000. Apply on the portal, hear back in a day or three, and repay on one clear date.

A valid ID, a guarantor, and a business or side hustle.

Who we lend to

Traders, tailors, drivers, students

Why Ogèdí

Built for the people banks ask to come back tomorrow.

Shop owners, market traders, tailors, caterers, drivers, and students with something going on the side. If your money moves and two people will vouch for you, you can apply.

A decision in a day or three

Every application is reviewed as it arrives. Expect an answer within 24 – 72 hours, and funds in your account as soon as you sign.

Judged on how your money moves

We look at how your money actually moves — your daily takings, your stock cycle, the people who vouch for you — not a credit file you never asked for.

Terms you can read in one sitting

One agreement, one rate, one repayment date. Larger loans can be spread over three months. Nothing is hidden and nothing is added after you sign.

Repayment that earns you more

Pay on time and your limit rises while your rate falls. Four loans in, you can borrow ten times where you started.

What you can borrow

Work out your numbers.

Move the amount to see the rate, the term, and what you would repay. Nothing here is an application, and nothing is charged.

How to apply

Four steps, all on the portal.

On the portal

01Create your account

Applications are handled entirely on the portal at app.ogedi.com.ng. Nothing is submitted over chat.

One sitting

02Submit your details

A valid ID, your business or study details, and a guarantor who can vouch for you.

With your application

03Pay the processing fee

The fee is paid with your application and covers your credit and eligibility checks, so it is charged whether or not the loan is approved.

24 – 72 hours

04Get your decision

Approved applications are signed and paid out. Repay on the agreed date and your limit rises next time round.

What the fee covers

The processing fee pays for your credit and eligibility checks, so it is charged with your application and is not refunded if the loan is declined. It is the only fee we charge, and it scales with the amount you ask for.

Questions

Answers before you ask.

  • Only on the portal, at app.ogedi.com.ng. Create an account, submit your details, and pay the processing fee. We do not take applications over WhatsApp or by phone — those channels are for questions and follow-ups.

  • A first loan is up to ₦30,000. Repay on time and your limit rises at every stage — ₦50,000, ₦100,000, then higher again. You can ask for more than your limit and we will look at it, at your normal rate.

  • By your tier, and nothing else — 30% at Bronze, down to 21% at Diamond. You pay your tier's rate whatever the size of the loan, so borrowing more never costs a higher percentage and borrowing less never costs you the rate you have earned.

  • By repaying on time. Each tier has an amount to clear before the next opens, and it adds up across loans — several small ones count the same as one large one. Repay after your due date and you move down one tier and start that total again, so tell us before the date if you are going to be late.

  • A valid ID (National ID, driver’s licence, or international passport), a business, a side hustle, or a steady student income, a WhatsApp number, and a guarantor — two of them above ₦100,000. A few other details are confirmed with you during the application.

  • It is paid with your application, before any decision, because it pays for your credit and eligibility checks. It is non-refundable and is charged whether or not the loan is approved. The fee is ₦1,000 for loans of ₦10,000 to ₦30,000, ₦2,000 above ₦30,000 up to ₦100,000, ₦3,000 above ₦100,000 up to ₦200,000, ₦4,000 above ₦200,000 up to ₦499,999, and ₦10,000 from ₦500,000 upwards.

  • Between 24 – 72 hours — one to three working days — from the moment your application and fee are in.

  • Yes, above ₦100,000, spread over 3 months. It costs more than paying in one, because the money is out for longer — 21% in a single payment is 27% spread out — and both rates are shown for every stage above. The schedule is written into your agreement before you sign, and smaller loans are repaid in one payment on the agreed date.

  • Your guarantor vouches for you and guarantees repayment under the loan agreement. They are someone who knows you and your work — not collateral, and not a credit check. One is enough up to ₦100,000; above that we ask for two, and they guarantee it jointly.

  • You move down a tier, so your next loan costs more and your limit is lower, and the amount you had built toward the next tier goes back to zero. A late payment also attracts a penalty set out in your agreement. If it is still unpaid three days after it becomes overdue, the loan goes into default, and we may take steps to recover what is owed from you or your guarantors. Tell us before your due date instead — more time agreed in advance counts as on time.

  • Yes. Refer a borrower and earn 5% when they take a qualifying loan. Your referral code is simply your registered phone number.
